Ingredients:
For preparing Spaghetti:
One package of 450g
Stock cube: 2 cubes
Salt: ½ Tbsp
Cooking oil: 2 Tbsp
For Sauce:
Onion: 2 medium
Either parsley or cilantro (fresh coriander) or both: ½ bunch of each
Garlic: 6 – 7 cloves chopped
Fresh green chili: 5 chopped
Tomato puree: 2/3 of the bottle, about 350 ml
Tomato paste: 3 – 4 Tbsp
Red Chili powder: 2/3 Tbsp
Turmeric powder: 1/3 Tbsp
Coriander/cumin powder: ½ Tbsp
Oregano: ¼ Tbsp
Oil: 3 Tbsp (you can use the same oil in which you shallow-fried the meatballs)
Salt: to taste
For Meatballs:
Chicken ground meat: 1 lb (454g) You can use beef or mutton ground if you like.
Onion: 2 medium
Either parsley or cilantro (fresh coriander) or both: ½ bunch of each
Garlic: 6 -7 cloves fine cut
Fresh green chili: 5 chopped
Red Chili powder: 2/3 Tbsp
Turmeric powder: 1/3 Tbsp
Coriander/cumin powder: ½ Tbsp
Oregano: ¼ Tbsp
Oil: 3 Tbsp (you can use the same oil in which you shallow-fried the meatballs)
Salt: to taste
Method:
Dice the onion, cilantro/parsley, and green chilies. Half of the garlic cut into small slices for the sauce and the rest dice for the meatballs.
Mix half portion with the chicken ground meat. Add bread crumbs, one egg, add all the powder spices, and some oil.
Wet your palm and fingers and start making round meatballs. You can use one hand to make meatballs, but if you can’t, go ahead and use both palms.
Take a large frying pan, preferably a coated one, fry the meatballs in shallow cooking oil. Just fry them over medium heat for 8 – 9 minutes, like 70% done by turning one time.
Take a pot and slowly transfer whatever oil you have in the frying pan and start to sauté onion for some minutes. Add the garlic, green chilies, and the dry spices. Sauté this for some more minutes.
Add the tomato puree, tomato paste, some water, and salt. Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes. Then add the chopped cilantro/parsley.
Place the meatballs and close the lid and cook for 10 minutes on slow to medium heat. If you use beef, then this should be 15 -20 minutes by increasing the water a bit more.
Serve this at lunch or dinner or at any party. I am sure everybody will love this yummy dish.
