New Farmers: the CAP and the challanges of European Agriculture. 2019/2020
In Piedmont, in the small village of Loazzolo – in the Langa astigiana (the downs around Asti),  we meet Giovanni Scaglione, who runs the family company Forteto della Luja on 18 hectares of land, ten of which are cultivated organically with vines while the rest is woods, permanent pasture and ancient varieties of fruit. Activities range from the cultivation of grapes to wine making and the direct sale of wine, guided tours of the vineyard and the running of the naturalistic Oasis affiliated with the WWF within which the company is located.
