The most important Vine used for the production of wine is known as “Vite Europea” (European Vine) or Vitis Vinifera.

– Root apparatus or “Hypogeum” under the soil
– Aerial apparatus or “Epigeous”

This one is composed in order by STUMP, TRUNK and the BRANCH were you will find Tendril, Leaves and the Grapes.
Vite Americana and Vite Europea are the most know, most of the time the Epigeous is the American Vine, because more resisten to the Phylloxera, grafted with the European one.
