Dark forest fruits with lots of ripe dominant dark cherries, black current, blue berries, ripe plum. Aromas of toasted oak, vanilla, tobacco leaves.
Palate:
Complex, medium bodied and balanced dark fruits notes: ripe dominant dark cherries, black current, blue berries, ripe plum. Aromas of toasted oak, vanilla, licorice black peper, dark chocolate. Polished tannins and medium acidity.
Finish:
Long finish with lots of dark red fruits, vanilla, toasted oak and black pepper.
Conclusion:
This Chianti is a complex and well balanced dark red wine with lots of fruits flavors and great tannins.
Riserva is about the bearing: 70% of the wine is aged in large oak barrels, 30% of the wine in small oak barrels for extra flavor layers.
