We are two Canadians currently living in Italy, and discussing what it’s like being locked down and quarantined during the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. We will show you how it is our daily life during lock down. Life requires some changes to adapt to the new Government regulations. We now need a declaration form every time we leave the house, and we have to have a good reason to do so. We are still allowed to go grocery shopping but only one person per household can go at anytime. Changes like that make life under lock down quite challenging but also very interesting. We are trying to keep our live as easy as possible and we want to share our story with you.

In March 2017, Rick and Andrea (confessed Travel Addicts) started a Facebook Group called Travel Addicts as a way to share their travel photos and videos not just with their own respective friends lists – but with the world. Part of the reason was for bragging rights (I mean, that’s kind of the point of sharing photos, right?), but also to help answer questions to others about the destinations they have visited.
After inviting some of our friends and family, it grew and grew – and as of June 2019, the group has grown to over 200,000 members! One reason for our success, we believe, is that we have done our best to ensure only high quality photos and videos get shared, all while limiting the use of commercial content.
Due to the limitations of social media, we were unable to use the group as a place for us to share multiple photos and any in-depth travel stores. As a result, we’ve created this blog, where anyone is welcome to “Get Featured” and write about their own interesting travel related stories – for Rick and Andrea, a lot will be about cruising, as an example, and then share it on social media.
