On March 19, Italy has surpassed even China for the country with the highest death count from COVID-19. Doctors around the world are experiencing a shortage of medical supplies and human resources. But nowhere has that crisis been felt more than in Italyโs health system
โI would say that we are at the end of our strength. This is a small hospital and we are taking in a lot of people, I would say the capacity is finished,โ Doctor Romano Paolucci said. โWe do not have sufficient resources and especially staff because apart from everything else now the staff are beginning to get sick.โ
