Day 9 of our Corona Virus sequestration proceeded smoothly; we’re getting on each other’s nerves but there’s been no gun-play (yet).
For our dinner adventure ā as we have come to think of them ā we decided nothing could beat fine Italian cuisine in our wine cellar. The wine cellar holds about 400 bottles and is about 14 feet underground which means it keeps cool, steady temperatures even in the heat of the summer. We have trouble keeping it stocked because of all our wine-loving friends. That’s a burden we’re glad to carry.
Anyhow, Annie makes a wonderful spaghetti sauce; I’ve tried to beat it but cannot. So we prepared a simple salad and spaghetti with some lovely wine; we talked and laughed and reminisced through the whole event. Here’s a quick glimpse at part of Chimbley House most guests never even know is there.
