Is It Safe To Eat Food From A Drive-Thru? Coronavirus Safety Tips (COVID-19) & Cleaning Credit Cards
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) changed everyone’s life when it came along. Suddenly we weren’t eating out, or going to movies, or church, or even hanging out with our friends. What wasn’t closed was restricted, as in the case of restaurants. We couldn’t go inside and eat, but we could use the drive-thru to get our food and take it home. Or we could get curbside delivery where a drive-thru wasn’t available. This was definitely better than nothing, because how could we do without our McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, Dunkin’ Donuts, Chick-fil-A, and so on, and so on? I definitely had a hard time keeping myself from daily trips through a drive-thru somewhere, but I gradually began to look at my eating habits a little closer. Were there still a lot of risks involved with eating food handled by the workers at these fast food restaurants, who also handled lots of other people’s credit/debit cards and cash besides mine? Because I was really concerned about the risks I might be taking, I did a lot of research on the subject, and even went out one day and bought food from three different restaurants using their drive-thru lanes, just to see how their procedures were the same and how they different. It was an interesting experience, and part of that is what I show in this video. Making this video helped me figure out what I wanted to do going forward, whether I’d quit using the drive-thru altogether, cut down on how often I went, or just keep going almost every day. What did I decide? I chose to greatly cut down my trips, and when I did go, I’d put into practice the tips shown in this video. Hope this video helps someone. It definitely helped me learn that I needed to keep my credit cards clean!
