Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo has reiterated that he will not be imposing a lockdown, despite a growing number of COVID-19 cases. The governors of 34 provinces want to impose stricter movement restrictions, but Mr Widodo has urged them to take into account health, safety and socio-economic impact. Jakarta’s governor has already declared an emergency and wants companies to allow employees to work from home. However, staying at home is not a choice for Jakarta’s street food vendors.
