Singapore imports almost 6 per cent of its eggs from places other than Malaysia, up from more than 1 per cent in 2018. This is according to the Singapore Food Agency. But egg importers are struggling to meet requirements to diversify their sources further to bolster food security and minimise disruption during times like the current COVID-19 pandemic.
