A few weeks back I put out a call for volunteers to help me continue to make Documinute’s remotely and the response was amazing. We interviewed people from our dining room and asked them to film their life during Covid-19 (safely).
Welcome to Documinute From A Distance.
First up, we have Laura from outside Milan. Laura has been a long time supporter of Documinute, not that she just follows us, she is a big supporter. I receive a lot of wonderful messages of encouragement from Laura so when she volunteered my answer was an immediate yes. It was so lovely getting to chat with someone I have ‘known’ for a while but had never met. It’s a weird state of affairs for most of us doing our bit to flatten the curve, but I must say I have noticed that my world has gotten physically smaller but so much bigger in every other way. It is quite beautiful in that regard.
Just a quick thing about this video, you will hear thunder in the background. Last Friday afternoon we had a serious thunderstorm here in Johannesburg and it came out of nowhere to coincide with our interview with Laura. We pushed on through it until it got too loud and had to stop the interview. We went outside to take a look at the sky, and the last shot you see in this Documinute is genuinely what the sky looked like.
