**RECIPE**
o Sauté two cloves of crushed garlic with 3 tbsp of olive oil for a couple of minutes in an oven proof pot. Do not burn the garlic.
o Add in one can of crushed San Marzano tomatoes and bring to a boil. Then let in simmer. While simmering add about a cup of red wine – we used Carlo Rossi Paisano this time. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning to your taste. Add parsley (we love cilantro).
o While sauce is still simmering, season chuck steak with black pepper and salt on both sides. Chuck steak is used in traditional recipes but use any cut of meat that you have.
o Sear steak on a hot (preferably cast iron) pan with a teaspoon of olive oil on each side for 3 minutes. Get a nice little brown color on both sides.
o Then take steak off the pan and submerge into the sauce.
o Add sliced two white onions and bell peppers to the sauce on top.
o Put your oven-proof pan (like a dutch oven pot) into a 400F oven for an hour.
o Transfer to another dish that’s oven-proof and put fresh mozzarella on it and bake until melted.
o Serve and enjoy!
