Viva San Giuseppe! Happy St. Joseph’s day! Learn to make everyone’s favorite St. Joseph’s day pastry “Zeppole San Giuseppe!”

Filling –
4 cups of whole milk
4 pieces of lemon rinds
1/2 cup of sugar
Stir to a simmer on medium heat
Separate bowl
4 egg yolks and 2 full eggs
⅔ cups of sugar
½ cup of cornstarch
Beart together
Add 4 tablespoons of butter
2 teaspoons of vanilla
Temper milk mixture into the egg mixture.
Put everything back into the original pot on the stove and stir until it thickens
Put in a new bowl with saran wrap (touching the cream)
Refrigerate for 2 hours
Zeppole –
2 sticks of butter
2 cups of water
½ teaspoon of salt
-Boil
Add 2 cups of flour
Mix to one ball of dough
Place back on the burner and cook down
Mix dough cool for 2 minutes then mix in 8 eggs one at a time in mixing bowl or mixer
Oven to 400
Line pan with parchment paper
Bake 35 min
Cut each zeppole in half
Fill zeppole with cream and top with more cream, maraschino cherry, and powdered sugar.
