2017 Poggiobello Friulano
This is not your traditional Friulano.
When we think of the light and simple wines of Italy, this is far from it. Poggiobello is most known for making complex terroir driven wines and Friulano is one of their best wines.
The wine is golden yellow with notes of citrus, golden pear, and yellow flowers on the nose. On the palate it has all the fruitiness with a powerful amount of minerality from the terroir. The heavy notes floral notes on the palate are what make the wine so complex and intriguing.
Like we mentioned before, this is not your typical white wine, it is truly a special wine from one of the best producers in Italy.
