This is the mansion built by Imelda Marcos during her tenure as First Lady of the Philippines. Note the intricate details of the fixtures and the immense talent and creativity poured into this very lavish project. It served no purpose other than to satisfy her insatiable and extravagant taste and lifestyle. Although it is in grave state of disrepair, you can still see the beauty and grandeur of the home. Some of the materials used are the very delicate and precious piña cloth or pineapple fibres, glass tile for mosaic art displays, pure silver chairs presented as gifts, Italian stained glass, woven coconut fibres and textiles, solid narra wood and mother of pearl for Oriental cabinets.
