Today the schools were closed, along with universities and playgroups too.
Many normally busy streets were all but deserted. Alongside that – the NHS here is now advising anyone coming home from anywhere in Italy to self-isolate if they have symptoms on their return.
No wonder – when more people died from Coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Italy than in any other single country in the world.
