Could this really be the end of the first chapter of this renovation story? As 2025 comes to an end, so does the work to organize and consolidate all of the villa’s contents, and we look forward to starting the monumental task of revitalizing this old abandoned villa.

The distinction between fire extinguisher and hand grenade may be very narrow.
Hohumm… seems like you’re just moving stuff from one room to another. Please fast forward to the start of renovations. You’re loosing my interest in your channel with all this boring, repetitious cleanup. Crack on!!
We have renovated an old home in a Bulgarian village. Had the same moisture problem and when we uncovered the living room ceiling we also found a steel beam holding up the second floor. We put a French drain in and that has taken care of most of it. But part of our home is made of stone with walls as thick as three feet. So we will.always have potential mildew or mold. We just keep a dehumidifier by the kitchen/bathroom.
OMG, I would love to get my hands on some of those linens especially the "S" pillowcase.
For your information, in the past, water linings in the Netherlands were made of lead, perhaps also in Italy??? So not healthy.
Perfection in the imperfection! Who cares about wood worm. it tells the story.
We call that type of ground floor a "Daylight". Three sides mostly below ground level and the third open to a lower grade hillside with windows and doors.
cement render kills more old houses than any thing else remove it and get advice about how to stabilize it if the wall cant breathe it will just mould and die
I'm looking for a channel where they do not talk a lot… anybody knows any decent channels other than Martjins? ❤
Hello and congratulations! A good idea to keep the two chairs that match the bench! They are lovely and original 1920s (if not older), so they would make a pleasant corner in one of the rooms and make it look precious.
If there are no labels they are most likely very old Just look at the weave.
I have a trunk exactly like yours. The bill from the maker is still in it, therefor I know it's from 1927. That was also the year the house it was in was built.
What a wonderful episode. ❤
Absolutely beautiful linen. I look forward to seeing the cushion covers being used.
Just love to watch the progress of your villa, I noticed how you removed items from one room to another, may I suggest that you store them in a rental storage room? Just a suggestion.
I have to commend your patience in carefully packing so carefully almost all the so called villa treasures in the hope they find a new hope, and your patience in tak8ng your time to plan the rebuild ❤
Are you aware that your CC comes up in French. Always hav to change it to English. Enjoy watching you two work! LOL You approached it the way I would have. Greetings from Kansas, USA Love, Connie❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
On to the next stage ! How exciting !
Дуже цікава вілла, а ще це просто не будинок, а антикварний магазин))🎉
Ok, as a suggestion. Can these owners concentrate the video on the house itself and not on what the family walked away from. Also months later they still have a bed filled with old linen, along with a truck filled with more throw away stuff. Please focus on the house. The entire time picking through that stuff the elections plumbing could have been sorted out.
Buona domenica!
I’m a little sad to see how many chairs you are letting go, but I trust in your plans!
Thanks again for your videos!
Marie Giacalone
Keep the rugs and have them cleaned…. They're all amazing! Antique rugs are expensive. Even that crazy looking flame one might be worth a bit. 😊 Looking so forward in seeing what is to become of your Villa.
Have the picture of your village from your land, restored and reframed. It's a good record of the area. Would look good with a wider mount. Keep up the good work❤
OMG. I've watched the endless videos of cleaning up and sorting and more clearing out and sorting . This endless videos of talking and planing. For God sake enough. Start the renovation work. And more of the same in this videos.
That large rug is a stunner.
Hi guys, a little remark if I may, at the minute 25:28 ( stable hay story) it may be wrong, the hole it is to small BUT I am more sure that it was used for coal or chopped wood used for heating in the winter. Many old villas in Budapest and Austria for example had the same system. There is no way it was used for hay except they where loading a handful every time, and if stuck ………….It is so enjoyable to look at 2 of you and your videos, you are very sweet and down to earth. Take car , good luck .P.S. The video it was made in December, April now so maybe by now you all ready know what that cantina it was used for back in the day.
I love your voices ,they are beutyfull in narrative
I know many months have passed but those two upholstered chairs looked like keepers if new fabric was on them but again we couldn't see them up close
