Jackson Goldstone is the UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Champion rewriting the sport at 22 years old. From Squamish, British Columbia — the place built to raise a downhill world champion — Jackson breaks down four straight World Cup wins on his way to the 2025 UCI title, his redemption victory at Red Bull Hardline 2025, the rivalry with Loic Bruni, and why his flow-state riding style is forcing every team on the circuit to adapt.
Jackson’s style is changing downhill MTB. Every rival team is filming him to see what lines he’s on and what he’s doing different. This is a conversation about raw speed, mental pressure at the top, the first 48 hours after a career-shaping crash, and what’s next for one of the most dominant athletes on two wheels.
In Chapter 396, Jackson Goldstone reveals:
– Winning four World Cup rounds in a row on the way to the 2025 UCI World Championship
– The full redemption story at Red Bull Hardline 2025
– The first 48 hours after his 2024 Hardline crash
– Why he refuses to run electronic suspension
– Racing Loic Bruni at Andorra 2025
– His lifelong moto background and how it shaped his riding
– Running a balance bike to kindergarten in Squamish, and how that path led to Santa Cruz Syndicate
– Why downhill MTB is entering its prime era

I’m crying. Needed this rn. Love when we get an mtb pod treat
So good to see Jackson on the pod 🤙 really enjoyed the episode he’s a g. Def gotta get Asa on the podcast!!
Get Shaun Palmer on. Dude changed downhill.
I’m only here for the mtb content
It’s insane to see where Jackson is at now. I was his counselor at Woodward in 2018-2019. Back then he’s was just a little grom doing more slope style kind of riding. One of my fav campers. Love the kid
yo
FYI all uci downhill mtb races are aired on HBO Max. At least for the last 2 years they have been.
Oh no, this clown is attacking this sport now!!! LOLWTF COME'ON YouTube
Jack rabbit slim is on the loose-a!
Is Peaty continuing as team manager?
Fellas better respond to Danny Hart’s DM after this one. He sounded pretty gutted on the ride companion 😂
Sorry, can't abide him
Get Bjorn Riley on the pod
Lawyer next he just retired. He would have a great download of life stories.
Been waiting for this one! Always thought Jackson was the Jett Lawrence of downhill
Would goldstone go down the hill faster if he weighed fifty lbs more?
Very interesting and worth the over 2hr listen
Great pod!
Either Asa Vermette & Jack Moir next!
Im a bit older, but i see this kid as the Jeremy McGrath of MTB. Feels like the stoke McGrath brough to Supercross in the 90s, Love watching this kid ride his bike like its a part of him. Him, Loic, Asa, Ronan. All sick cant wait for this season.
JOHNNY O’MARA BRO COME ON GET HIM ON LITERALLY THE MOST GOATED DUDE OUT THERE
Neko Mullaly
Bring Shaun Palmer in, please 🙏!!
Thank you, Gypsy. I love the episode. Get Ronan Dunne on… always good value, up the Parish 😅
Bring in Andreu Lacondeguy from bmx to slopestyle to freeride to freestyle moto x
Asa💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Be cool to have Jackson's parents on and get their perspective!
Asa Vermette is one to keep your eyes on! Hopefully see him on here some day!!!
Asa for sure for the next one
Cool to hear Jackson open up about his injuries, had no clue the appendix thing was as bad as it was
I had 25% of my left kidney removed due to cancer. The first surgeon said he would leave a huge scar and would require months of recovery He referred me to the pioneer of the belly button method. Ended up with 2 tiny scars and simple recovery. Other than coding during the surgery it went well. 😂
So apparently Whistler is getting a uci World Cup stop this year? Surely we see a 100 hours with Jackson Goldstone leading up to that 👀
Brilliant podcast.. you should try get Ronan dunne on bet he would be a laugh
Stop swearing so much and I will like and subscribe.
So hype having goldstone on before the World Cup season, great work again!
Can’t wait to watch him and asa go at it. These two are gonna push the sport too the limit
Never heard of this kid till today. But dammit, he clearly had great parents, who still keep the pace, and he is clearly got a great support group and is pretty smart himself. Good luck to you young one, and keep bombing down dem hills
ASA vermatte next?
steve romaniuk next please, also tyler klassen
I want to see Ronan Dunne on the podcast
I think the next big thing rolling is Asa
4 World Cups in a row is impressive……..
N1no won every World Cup in 2017, plus the Worlds, and Cape Epic………..Should have had him on……10 World Champs, 9 World Cup overalls, 36 World Cup wins…….
