Ottawa’s New Pirate Theme Restaurant and Karaoke Lounge
Ottawa’s newest and one of the most unique spots we’ve experienced in this city.
If you’re looking for something different with your meal… something that feels more like an experience than just dinner…this is one to check out.
📍The Kwack Pearl306 Preston Street, Ottawa in Little Italy
We walked into The Kwack Pearl not really knowing what to expect… and for a second, we kind of forgot we were there to eat.
This isn’t your neighbourhood Red Lobster. It feels part restaurant, part set design, part “how is all of this in one place?”
Every corner has something to look at. It’s fully immersive in a way that you don’t really see often in Ottawa.
On this weeknight, the owner was pretty much running the entire ship as captain, crew & chef.
They’re still in soft opening mode, so a little patience goes a long way.But that just gave us time to take it all in… the space, the energy, the randomness of it all.
There’s plenty to see, and do here with Karaoke, games, and yeah… a few toys if you feel like committing to the Pirate bit.
And the food?
That’s the part that could’ve easily been an afterthought… but it wasn’t.
We ate Escargot wrapped in pastry to start, Cuban sandwich with spiced potatoes and the highlight… a hot seafood skillet loaded with cheese, finished with a mini flame thrower.
There’s some showmanship to the dishes too… which makes sense.
Pirates weren’t really subtle.
For dessert, we had the banana maple rum pancakes from their all-day brunch menu.
Soft, fluffy, sweet… and good for sharing.
And of course, a few tropical cocktails to round it all out.
The menu changes often, and they post specials on Instagram so there’s always something new going on.
If you’re looking for something immersive, a little unexpected, and genuinely different… the Kwack Pearl is one of those places.
Where flavour meets fantasy… and dinner turns into a whole experience.
