One of the most iconic snacks in Italian gastronomy, the tramezzino has taken on different shapes, sizes, and fillings across the country. For this episode, our @cookwithfez traveled to Turin, Padua, and Rome 📍 to explore the cities where this tradition is still going strong — and to see how this legend has evolved over time.

And here’s the twist: its story doesn’t actually start in Italy. After a stay in the United States 🇺🇸, Mrs. Nebiolo and her husband returned to Turin bringing back their sandwich-making know-how. Since their toaster didn’t work properly, they started serving the bread cold — and that choice gave birth to what we now know as the tramezzino.

Soft bread, rich fillings, and endless local variations 🤍 the tramezzino has become the perfect Italian bite for a mid-morning break, a quick lunch, or an afternoon snack. Usually served cold, sometimes toasted, always delicious 😋
