Cheesy Garlic Confit Bread

Ingredients
1/4 cup garlic confit (soft cloves, no oil)
6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1/2 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
Salt + black pepper
1–2 tbsp chopped parsley

Assemble
1 loaf sourdough bread
1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan
1 cup shredded mozzarella

Instructions
Make the garlic butter → Mix garlic confit with softened butter, chili flakes, a pinch of salt, black pepper, and parsley until fully combined.

Prep the bread → Slice sourdough in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter all over both halves. Top with Parmesan first, then finish with mozzarella.

Bake → Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted, then broil for 1–2 minutes for golden spots. Watch closely.

Finish → Sprinkle with extra parsley and a light pinch of chili flakes.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
