As an italian you don't have lunch with spritz… You drink that BEFORE lunch not during lunch. If you want you could have a white wine, definetly not an Aperol Spritz.
I don't think that he is in Italy. The architecture of the church in the rear is not italian i guess. And second the pasta in papercups and the table without a tablecloth or similar is a huge no go. The Spriz at lunch is strange but we can accept it like a cappucino in the afternoon.
I remember an Italian student at the same college I was staying at in Australia, when ravioli was on the menu this skinny guy would really load up his plate! Me, an Asian, so jealous, because when rice is on the menu, we Asians learned to avoid it because they always undercooked the rice.
Tutto bene Bro ma nessun Italiano mangerebbe un tris di paste tipico delle trappole per turisti e nessuno farebbe pranzo con lo spritz รจ l'aperitivo quello a pranzo si beve vino massimo birra
One of the most noticeable culture differences between the USA and Southern Europe is how in the US lunch isn't the most substantial meal of the day. I'm portuguese and I have family in the US, they usually eat a sandwich or something light for lunch, and sometimes skip it altogether. That is unthinkable here, lunch is THE MEAL OF THE DAY. You can skip breakfast or dinner if you don't have time or aren't hungry but you NEVER skip lunch, so his friend's "it's just lunch" is an affront ๐
If you accually look at the makros of good pasta / pizza flour and add italian chesses which have a lot of protein you will understand that it is not just carbs
how ridicolous is a person coming from the country with the highest rate of obesity and giving not requested opinion about healty foods to an italian ? pore creaturine statunitensi non perdete occasione per mostrare quanto non capite una beata sega…..
Pasta al dente has type of carbs that human body cant turn into glucose so are just excreted. It is certain type of resistant starch when prepared properly.

carbs in Italy have more nutritional value than carbs in the US because of legislation.
I know people who eat pasta everyday and I yet have to meet one of those who are not skinny. They are always so skinny.
I'm watching my carb intake but no one has the right to tell me what to & what not to eat. ๐

You rock broh

Its important to cook the pasta to al dente, no more. Otherwise its glycemic index goes through the roof.

It s true. I eat a lot of pasta but never get fatt. My mother was half Italiana.
It will be not enough for me for a single meal it is like a snack ( I am not from Italy)๐
Americans treat carbs like some type of kryptonite and yet eat McDonald's like it's the only food there is
