I grew up having this pasta and it’s always been a favorite! Here is how I make it! Ingredients • 1 lb sausage • 6 tbs olive oil, divided • 5 cloves garlic, chopped • 2 bunches broccoli rabe • 1 lb pasta • Red pepper flakes • Salt • Pepper • Garlic powder • 1 cup ricotta Instructions Trim and chop broccoli rabe, discarding the ends. Boil 1 minute, remove, then cook pasta to instructions. In a skillet, heat 2 tbs oil and cook sausage over medium until browned and crisp, about 15 minutes, breaking it up. Add remaining oil and garlic, cook 30 seconds. Add broccoli rabe and cook 2 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Add pasta and toss to combine. Whip ricotta with salt and pepper until smooth. Serve pasta with romano and a dollop of ricotta.
