If you’re tasting olive oil, here’s what to look out for →
The three basic categories to consider when tasting olive oil are: delicate, medium, and intense. To really impress your fellow tasters, consider if the oil has these characteristics: fruity, pungent, bitter, herbaceous, buttery, grassy, peppery.
There’s a lot more going on in olive oil than we usually stop to consider! I’d love to challenge you to slow down and really think about the flavors in your oil next time you sit down to eat.
Cheers!
P.S. This olive oil tasting at Badia a Coltibuono in Chianti Classico Italy was one of the most magical days of my life! 😍😍😍
