I always thought it interesting that Piedmont/Turin is so overlooked. It's definately not some "backwater" region, it's in a great location close to other major tourist places, and considering it's important place in Italian history, beyond the former royal family and unification, I would have thought it would be more well known and a go to place for tourists. Why isn't it? Lack of promotion? Or is it simply just outshined by the other cities?

Where I live in Colorado is geograhically the ‘piedmont’ and is located between the plains and the foothills. Odd since piedmont means foothills !
Thanks for insightful video. Also home of Fiat. Have been Geneva and Monaco but Turin looks fun.
