I’m very horsey, while not racing, but the Hunter/Jumper side, I found this is fascinating and finally found out the difference in the pronunciation of Derby. I’ve been to Churchill Downs, and Keeneland multiple times. The paintings were fascinating, Teddy and his wife were very knowledgeable about their estate and its history.
Fun Fact:
The 17th Earl was married to Lady Alice Montagu, daughter of the Duke of Manchester. Distance cousins of the Sandwich Montagus.
I'm assuming this is Lord Stanley who helped Henry vII take the throne in 1485?
