    For pasta
    • 1 cup pasta (penne / fusilli / macaroni)
    • Water for boiling
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 1 tsp oil

    For white sauce
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (maida)
    • 1½ cups milk
    • 3 tbsp cheese (mozzarella or processed)
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
    • ½ tsp oregano
    • Salt to taste

    Optional vegetables (recommended)
    • 2 tbsp sweet corn
    • 2 tbsp capsicum (chopped)
    • 2 tbsp carrot (chopped)
    • 2 tbsp mushrooms or broccoli

    Step-by-step recipe

    Step 1: Boil the pasta
    1. Boil water with salt and oil.
    2. Add pasta and cook until al dente (soft but firm).
    3. Drain and keep aside.

    Step 2: Prepare white sauce
    1. Heat butter in a pan.
    2. Add flour and cook for 1 minute (do not brown).
    3. Slowly add milk while stirring continuously.
    4. Cook until sauce thickens smoothly.

    Step 3: Add seasoning & cheese
    1. Add salt, pepper, oregano, and chili flakes.
    2. Mix in cheese and stir until melted.

    Step 4: Add vegetables & pasta
    1. Add vegetables and cook for 2–3 minutes.
    2. Add boiled pasta.
    3. Mix well until pasta is fully coated with sauce.

    Step 5: Serve hot

    Top with extra cheese and herbs for richer flavor 🧀🌿
