Welcome back to Wine Unfiltered! 🍷
Vintage is wrapping up, Easter eggs are hitting the shelves, and Tom and Wade have just survived a terrifyingly bumpy flight back from a few days in Orange!
This week, we are diving into two epic brackets of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. First up, we taste a unique Chardonnay/Aligoté blend from Margaret River’s Blind Corner, check out Patrick Sullivan’s powerful new 2025 ‘Ada River’ Chardonnay from Gippsland, and completely lose our minds over a full-noise, oxidative “sherry-like” Chardonnay from Jura’s tiny L’Etoile appellation.
Then, we head to Pinot-land, tasting a structured and savoury Adelaide Hills release from Turon, a tightly coiled and incredibly rare Huon Valley drop from the legends at Sailor Seeks Horse, and a vivid, energetic Central Otago Pinot from Sato.
In Booze News, we cover the massive 100-point score awarded to House of Arras by the Wine Advocate, run through the “World’s Most Admired Wine Brands”, and celebrate the new AU-EU free trade agreement (we get to keep calling it Parmesan!). Plus, Tom tries to guess a tricky Italian-variety red in Getting Blind and Wade doesn’t totally cook his Blind Ranking of Desert Island Wines.

I reckon yellowtail would make decent lighter fluid for a campfire.
I called Junto GSM for the blind 🤷🏼♂️
Love Sullivan's wines, probably my favourite Chard producer in Australia
