This documentary explores the rise and fall of the Guasti Vineyard in Ontario, California. It was the largest winery in the world. Founded by Italian immigrant Secondo Guasti from Piedmont, Italy, the vineyard grew into more than just a business; it became a thriving company town in the Rancho Cucamonga area, rooted in culture, community, and heritage. Over time, however, the winery passed through multiple owners, and its influence gradually declined, leaving behind a lasting but often overlooked legacy in the Inland Empire.
I’d like to give special thanks to San Secondo d’Asti Church, JerryJames, and the Ovitt Family Community Library for providing resources for this documentary. This video wouldn’t have been possible without their support and contributions.
