Bonjour! I’m Vivienne, an artist, designer, antique & vintage jewelry dealer, and also the châtelaine of a small 19th century neo-Renaissance castle in the Loire Valley of France, which I share with my delightful husband, Simon, our daughter, and —whenever possible— lovely friends and family.
This is not our first chateau! 26 years ago, we bought a much larger castle nearby, which we loved with all our hearts. However, after 2 decades, many happy memories, countless renovations, and several small fortunes later, we made the very difficult, empty-nesting decision to downsize. With great luck and perseverance, we found our current petit château, which we are now decorating and updating with love, humour, comfort, and —of course— antiques and art!
We adore France and its many unique facets: its people, culture, landscapes, wine, food, art, and history. We also love being surrounded by châteaux, both public and private, which we can explore together! After 20 years here, we have learned many things about living in France, renovating châteaux, and appreciating the extraordinary riches surrounding us. We originally decided to make these videos as a way to share our lives with our loved ones worldwide during the pandemic lockdowns. However, we soon realised that many others are at home alone, and it is our privilege to open our home to you, our new friends. We hope you will join us on our adventures in this exceptional location, and we look forward to sharing a little Château Love!

The mirror you purchased in Beautiful!!! My favorite, I love all of them but, if I have to choose, 3 & 4. Number 3 is the best bought and number 4, the Trumeau, is the best made! But they are all beautiful in their own way. It was really a difficult decision!! It was so fun seeing Terry & Ash (subscribed to them too) with you and your friend Sally as well. What are you going to do once all your rooms are finished?? I don't even want to think about. You may have to buy another small Chateau to revive again, lol!! I know, that is way in the future, haha. I couldn't believe the resemblance of you an Isabelle, OM!!. It is like Simon had nothing to do with the creation of her, lol. Just kidding. So, you are asking us to choose which is the best out of the five mirrors. That's like asking which of your five stunningly beautiful and perfect children is the best and most beautiful! Every one of the mirrors is stunning but if I were to choose, I would choose mirror #4, the Louis XVI Cream Floral Entrance Hall Mirror.
