Anyone notice Publix (regional chain in the south) brand Pasta takes significantly longer than Barilla (medium shells) to reach Al dente …. [13-15 mins vs 8 mins] Any idea why this could be?
No idea why it could be. Maybe inferior ingredients on the part of Barilla? I know that De Cecco shells take about the same amount of time as the Publix ones, and they’re of a higher quality.
