  3. Could you say approximately how much water/stock/cream you're adding as you're adding it. You don't need to be precise but it helps new cooks get a reference for how much to use.

  4. Do you think shrimp would work well with this or is sea food no good with these ingredients? This was really good btw! I donโ€™t want to ruin this dish by adding shrimp or replacing the bacon.

  6. I cook pasta in my casseroles and stocks when possible too Rik. It absorbs the flavours of the sauce or casserole, it adds substance to a thin sauce and saves on washing up , electricity ( fuel) water, dish washing liquid, labour and time. All are precious to each of us and the planet! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผโ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

  8. one pot pasta/noodle dishes are the best. the less dishes I have to clean up, the better.

  9. That's what I use to call carbonara, but to avoid conflict I now call It mushroom bacon pasta. Tastes great, I don't want an egg stirred in at the and anyhow. Tried it. Each to their own, good one Rik. ๐Ÿ’

  11. G'day, Rick. Another video I have reservations with. Please try this with Mascarpone instead of cream. Italians don't (generally) use cream. And buy whole cheese and grate it yourself, for both Mozzarella di Bufala and the Parmigiano Reggiano. These steps will elevate your dish to another level. Thank you. PS Most pre-shredded packaged cheese uses Anti-Caking Agent 460, which is a micro-crystallised cellulose. This can cause laxative effects, gas, and bloating.

  12. Wow that looks amazing, brilliant idea for cooking the pasta, definitely on my ever growing list, I donโ€™t think my crispy bacon would make it to the finished dish though haha, I might switch it with a tin of tuna, thanks as always ๐Ÿ˜Š

  13. You've made me feel hungry yet again Rik. Because I cook only for myself, I make good use of my freezer. I might have a go at this leaving the mixture a little more loose and try freezing it in portions as it would then thicken on reheating.
