Hey there, this is Marie Lally with O’Brien Realty. I want to tell you about a nice local restaurant Tony Villari and I visited last week in Waldorf. This is a more recent addition to the Waldorf and Charles County restaurant scene, and I think it is a great addition! it is a Brazilian steakhouse called Lucianna’s steakhouse, located in the Charles County Plaza shopping Center, near MOMs organic market and Longhorn steak house. I think this is a first of its kind for Southern MD. So, no more trips to DC are needed if you are craving a Brazilian steakhouse meal! Tony and I really enjoyed it, right here in waldorf.
Lucianas steakhouse offers a nice atmosphere with a contemporary interior, dimmed lights with the coolest wine glass chandeliers… there is a nicely stocked bar, a good wine selection and ample seating. We went during the week and it was not busy, but I have heard the weekends can get very busy. Be sure to make reservations for weekend dining.
This is basically an all you can eat restaurant, offering a great selection and variety of vegetable dishes, cold salads, cheese and Italian cold cuts, olives & More at the cold bar… a few different soups were also available. I especially liked the chicken and avocado salad, the blue cheese wedge and the fresh mozzarella with tomatoes.
At the table, the waitress provided hot dishes with delicious mashed potatoes, a tomato and snow pea concoction, and sweet fried bananas. The servers also came around with Brazilian cheese bread which is super yummy and very addictive.
The highlights of the restaurant are the grilled meats that are brought out on large skewers, very consistently, by a very courteous staff, who provide you with a portion of whatever you might want. During our visit, the servers brought out chicken wings, bacon wrapped chicken, pork ribs, bacon wrapped filet mignon, sausage, various cuts of beef, and leg of lamb. Tony and i sampled just about all of the meats except for the chicken and sausage. Everything was great, nicely seasoned, and well cooked.
We enjoyed the restaurant and we will be back. The staff was attentive, the food was good, and the atmosphere was inviting. Best of all, it is conveniently located in southern Maryland
