Welcome back to My Kitchen, my private dinner series where I cook curated meals for the people in my life using everything I’ve learned from culinary school and restaurant kitchens.
In this episode, I’m hosting a 4-course private dinner for my friend and her boyfriend who I met at my ceramics studio and cookbook club. For this dinner I created an Italian-inspired menu with a few personal twists.
Menu for the night:
• Roasted brussels sprouts with a balsamic honey vinaigrette
• Homemade focaccia with marinated mushrooms
• Miso glazed salmon with an Asian-inspired carbonara
• Pear tarte tatin (tarte tatin) with Asian pears to celebrate Lunar New Year
This video follows the entire process — from food prep and cooking ASMR, to plating the dishes, hosting dinner, and tasting everything together at the end.
The My Kitchen series is about building community through food, hosting intimate dinners, and sharing the experience of cooking for friends in New York City.
