Doc you forgetting Oreos are not edible at all they won't even burn with a burning torch bad comparison being the to me Oreos are not food even though it was made from food products any food that can't burn I'm not

I have had to do another revamp of my snack items. This is the issue for me. I noticed what you are revealing here over the past 6-9 months.
Dr. Gundry is right about many of the items are โGluten Freeโ but they are Lectin Heavy!
Iโm working on this with many more swap-outs! I will arrest this!

I don't eat gluten free to avoid carbohydrates. I avoid gluten because it makes me sick. I would have like to see you talk more about why the ingredients aren't healthy and what would be a good alternative. I didn't care for the carb sugar comparison. Why are lectins bad? After the first 2 examples I get it! Yes they are all junk food! I try to eat mainly fresh meat, veggies and yes rice.
Simple Mills Cookies, Siete Cookies and Walker Butter Shortbread (favorite of your wife and me), ARE addictive and Iโve noticed this over the past year or so.
All 4 of the Siete Mexican cookies have INCREASED the sugar content per serving by 1 gram of sugar and DECREASED the fat content per serving. I know this because I was trying to figure out why these cookies have a โcraveโ factor to them. Same thing goes for a few of the Walkerโs cookies varieties and the Simple Mills.

As for the Quinn Peanut Butter Pretzels. I have never eaten these but from about 2007-2011 I would eat Cascade Farms Peanut Chocolate Chip Granola Bars because โGranola is Healthy,โ NOT!
After too many bouts of an upset stomach and thoroughly rancid bowel movements, I had to stop.
I figured out it was the combination of sugar, peanut and grain!
Samโs Club used to sell something called Aussie Bites. They were Granola Mini Cups. The perfect thing to eat as a snack during American Idol, Deal or No Deal or So You Think You Can Dance in the mid 2000s. Costco sells a version of these as well. I would eat these (27 per pack) and watch television. Once again, I had to stop for the same reason. Now I understood what the problem with these item was: They are Gluten and Lectin HEAVY & Granola IS NOT Healthy!

The addition of pea protein to dog foods leaded to an increase in DMC even in small breeds which weren't affected by this disease in the past.
So glad Dr Gundry did this video, the gluten free aisle is still a junk food aisle for many more reasons than we realise. I feel so much better autoimmune wise by eliminating all grains and lectin rich foods for now, when I revert back I feel awful. Mainstream's gluten free is only considered Traditional gluten free. But it is not True gluten free, that would be eliminating all grains. Mainstream eliminates just one gluten called Alpha Gliadin (found in wheat, barley, rye) to say a food is gluten free. But there are over 900 glutens identified in all grains. I have numerous gluten sensitive genes. I forgot until this video that it is also the elimination of lectin that is helping me.
After I ate my first Oreo years ago I never ate another one.. I did not like the taste of them, they affected my digestive system and they just never looked appetizing..
McDonald's hamburgers don't biodegrade either when left out for years..
What do you think about Tiger nut which is a root. Simple Mills makes a new cocoa snack made from tiger nut.
I would like to see a conversation between Dr. Gundry and Dr. William Davis on the subject of so called โanti-nutrientsโ like lectins, phytates, and others. Dr. Davis believes that if your microbiome is in good shape your beneficial microbes will break down these substances for you so that they donโt interfere with absorption of nutrients or do any damage. Humans have been eating these substances found in grains and vegetables for eons without any problems because they didnโt have all the toxins in their food and environment that decimate the microbiome.

I have already noticed that gluten free products have the same dangers of processed food. I do love Jovial pasta and other gluten free pastas and will continue to consume. But thanks for the lectin awareness. I'm not affected when lectins are properly cooked. No metabolic diseases so far. The joke about Dave's killer bread was hillarious.
