  1. When I watch most great chefs, I see them push the ingredients as far as they can. With MPW, the ingredients do his bidding.

  2. His cooking videos are unintentional ASMR, the cooking sounds are wondrous. Whoever did this microphone/audio set up knows what they are doing. The boiling, the simmering, even the pinches of salt between fingers.

  3. This rice split…you can see the liquid on the side and the overcooked rice in the middle. Risotto must be creamy and oozy and it can be done using a good amount of butter and parmigiano at the end,out of the fire. Again Mr.White you failed badly on italian cuisine…same failure on it was done by Mr Ramsay👎

  6. I decided to watch this video by pouring some of it into a glass, then tasting it, it was my choice, really. There we are.

    Wash the rice? I've been taught risotto by at least 5 people and never been told to do that. I will try it.

  8. Why do we pee? Because we are removing the water content, which removes the acidity and brings out our natural sweetness.

  9. So how does evaporating the water from the onion and wine not concentrate the acidity , rather than removing it?

  10. When he said "if the wine is delicious…" Everyone was thinking he was going to say "then it goes into the risotto" lol
