Replying to @leontikthomz welcome to your new favourite italian restaurant Vieni located in Goodsyard in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, UK

We had an incredible experience and meal at Vieni, which is a must-try if you love italian food, it offers a familiar comfort with a fresh take based of Ange’s Nonna and Nonni teaching the foundations of good Sicilian cooking & hospitality.

My sister and I started with some off menu espresso martinis and then my husband got a negroni spagliato, expect a short campari forward cocktail menu with lots of wine options.

I then paid what I think is my maximum for a dressed oyster (£6.5) before having some of the most incredible bone marrow. We then had the BEST arancini I’ve ever had in my life. To me arancini is usually too dry and too much ratio of rice, but this was perfect, shoutout to the tomato sauce which was so fresh and light and the perfect balance with this dish.

Then we had the ‘nduja mussels with the crispy polenta bites which i thought was the perfect pairing followed by the bavette marsala steak. We finished the meal with some dessert, fresh crispy cannoli and lovely baked brioche with lemon sorbet and vanilla ice cream.

I can’t wait to come dine here again, absolute recommendation #italiano #vienijq #bhameats #birminghamuk #brum
