Deli’s. There may be slight variations like using ham cappy instead of gabagool, or adding lettuce and tomatoes (not my preference) but for the most part, this is what to expect if you order “The Godfather” in any Deli. Some argue that mayo isn’t traditionally included, but the creaminess adding more moisture to the fatty meats is perfect! I highly recommend trying it…I would have used semolina bread if I had the choice, but for some reason nobody makes that in the state of Virginia
