An absolutely belting Italian red, perfect foodie wine but also works really well on its own. This is Negroamaro from Puglia in southern Italy, big, expressive black fruits and a wonderfully savoury supporting hint of oak, incense and herbs, really complex and layerd and amazing value.
Sadly the price has increased from £9.00 to £9.50 since time of recording but I think it’s still remarkable value. Remember that this is the MIX SIX price in Majestic.
