Today we visited Olive Garden in Laguna Woods to see if the popular chain lives up to its reputation. Our first impression was that the restaurant feels quite old and could definitely use some updating.
The service, however, was very nice and friendly. The staff were polite and attentive, which made the experience more pleasant.
Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment. While the portions were decent, the quality felt like a perfect example of processed or “junk-style” food rather than fresh Italian cuisine. The flavors were heavy and not as authentic or satisfying as we expected.
Overall, the service was the highlight of the visit, but the food did not meet our expectations.
