You can experience Spoleto during the daytime and after dark when the town comes out for its evening stroll for the classic Italian passeggiata.
Spoleto is a small city with an ancient history, enjoying a modern Italian lifestyle. You’ll see kids playing football in the street and friendly students. The town is alive with local residents enjoying their compact pedestrian zone, an active gathering place right into the evening. Easy to navigate, just about 500m across with lovely cobblestone lanes and many people out enjoying the atmosphere, lots of shops and restaurants and beautiful old buildings all around it. Looking down at the main part is Spoleto’s historic center, with its landmark cathedral and castle.
