2026 Slow Wine. For me, the top red wine value was the 2022 Avignonesi Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from Tuscany. 100% Sangiovese. Approximate price of $20 to $25.

Tough job but someone`s got to do it! I would like to try this if if I could find it.
In your video, there were shots of a lot of Northern Italian wines. Lots of Nebbiolo/Barbera based products. And then you throw the curve ball, picking a Tuscan Sangiovese. Certainly easier to drink, and probably less expensive than drinking Barolo. Good video. Thanks.
“Avignonesi” should be the name of a hypothetical Sangiovese based blend VdP or VdF made from Sangiovese planted near Chateauneuf de Pape
