“They told me the pasta doesn’t count in Italy… they lied.” 🍝😂

Kevin James just sat down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to get real about the “hazards” of filming his new hit movie, Solo Mio. While everyone thinks filming in the Italian countryside is all sunsets and Vespa rides, Kevin revealed a much heavier reality—literally.

Kevin shared that while shooting on location, he managed to gain a whopping 30 pounds! He told Jimmy that he went into the project hearing that “Italian food doesn’t make you fat” because the ingredients are so fresh. Well, Kevin officially debunked that myth. Between the authentic carbonara, the endless wine, and the bread that’s “basically a hug for your soul,” he confessed he simply couldn’t control his eating.

Even as the directors were trying to capture his “heartbroken” character, Matt Taylor, Kevin was busy exploring every menu in Rome and Tuscany. It turns out, when you’re playing a man left at the altar who decides to take his honeymoon solo, the best way to heal a broken heart is through the stomach.

Solo Mio isn’t just a romantic comedy; it’s a journey of self-discovery, heartbreak, and apparently, a lot of carbs. From the viral TikTok mystery of “Matt Taylor” to the stunning Italian landscapes, Kevin James is bringing a side of himself (and a few extra pounds) that we’ve never seen before.

If you want to see the scenery—and the food—that broke Kevin’s diet, go see the movie that everyone is calling the “rom-com for the guys.”

Solo Mio is in theaters NOW! 🎬

  1. No it’s not…..the issue is portion control. And that goes for ANY COUNTRY. If you eat 10000 calories worth of apples everyday, assuming you don’t burn those calories off, your body will reflect that. 10000 calories is 10000 calories.
