Here we are loading empty bottles onto the bottling machine where the wine is being pumped from the tank into the machine. The bottles are filled, then corked all on the line. Finally the bottles are removed from the line and loaded into the cages to be stored on their sides in the cellar. Storing wine bottles on their sides keeps the corks moist and prevents deterioration in the cork which could lead to oxygenation.
