  1. In Florence we were asked to leave a tip but the manager said we could refuse. This made us uncomfortable in front of other diners. We noticed that none of the local diners were asked. When we left the restaurant a local couple told us never to tip because locals don’t want to start tipping. The servers make a living wage unlike here in the US. And we were told many times by
B&B managers about no tipping in restaurants. As we travel to Italy twice a year it’s very confusing.

  2. Who cares if I eating all my pasta by myself or I’m eating half a plate of my husband’s pasta and he’s eating mine why I even need to care about it?😂 it’s the nonsense I’m paying for my food not for decision. How much I am eating from each plate. If Italians doesn’t like it, it’s not my problem. It’s really not.
