  1. Ain’t no way I’m going to worry about what Italians think, I break it in half before cooking. I’m not Italian so it’s ok. 😂😂😂

  2. I never bowl the water first but my wife of 45 years still boils the water first EVERY TIME! We are in counseling now, not sure if we can get through this. My first wife broke the pasta in half, we were married for a week. The Pope gave us an annulment for cause.

  3. 💜🫣💜 Why do kids think sticking out their tongue is cute ?? WHO started that fad ?? Guess I missed that day, too, Folks.🤭2.22.26🤭

  4. 1) Barilla is crap. 2) Why you breaka de pasta! 3) I'm usually busy chopping vegetables up for the pasta sauce. Now you got me starring into a pot & stirring it for an hour. No thanks.
    4) You opened up a jar of room temperature sauce & poured it on top. I've never heard, seen, or thought of doing that.
I've found that boiling the salted water, 1.5gal with the lid on. Add pasta after the water has come to a rolling boil, cover. Several minutes later, it will be at a light boil again. Start timer for 8 minutes. Cover & stir every 2-3 minutes.
After you've drained the water put it back in the same pot. Add some heated sauce to it & stir. Enough to coat it, so it doesn't stick together. I used to use oil but I think it coats it & doesn't allow the pasta to soak up the sauce. If you use sauce, Pasta will taste better the next time you heat up your leftovers.

  5. You broke the pasta!! Do you realize what you have done? Italians can feel that break in their soul. You have hurt millions of Italians 😭 thats a great sin you have committed

  6. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with:
Breaking the pasta in 1/2, to not only have it fit into the pot that you're using, but also it will cook faster as its smalker pieces.
Putting everything into the pot first, the water and the padta actually SAVES on the cooking time. Energy from the electric stove, let alone who ever has gas.
Back in the 1970's, Home Economic Classes, in Jr., Sr., high and community classes, taught to boil the water. There was an oil embargo by then Former President Nixon, so the magority of home style cooks, started this trend of everything in the pit.
The late Dear Abby and Anne Landers,
Betty Crocker cookbooks, ALL took polls, and had massive wright ins about how Americans were then now doing the cooking of their pastas.
Pit it into one pot, cold or hot water, get it to go!
I mean absolutely NO DIS RESPECT OF ANY KIND TO ANY ONE WHO MAY DO THEIR COOKING OLD WORLD OR OLD STYLE COOKING!
IVE BEEN A NANNY TO AN ITALIAN FAMILY, I LEARNED THEIR FAMILY SECRETS, AND ILL NEVEF TELL.
My ladt boyfriend had an italian business man, THAT man knew how to COOK!! FROM SCRATCH!! Didnt learn ANY of his secrets, to anything that he made, however, he did allow me to stir his sauces, on occaision.
    Abo Danza!

  7. Instead of salt, add some knorrs chicken bouillon (game changer) and lay a wood spoon over the top of your pot to prevent the foam from over spilling.

  8. Don't you know that when checking your spaghetti pasta to see if it's done you're supposed to THROW IT AGAINST THE WALL! 😂
If it sticks it's done. If it falls off it's not done.
Might be fun for your daughter to "check" it… 😂

  9. I liked it better without your daughter. No offense to her, maybe she could do her own for other kids. She doesn't add anything to yours she is just distracting.

  10. Most instructions say to start cooking after the water is boiling so that the timing is more accurate. 8 minutes at 212°F is much more consistent than adjusting for how long it takes to get the water to boil. Hard boiled eggs are the same

  11. My grandmother just rolled over in her grave…eep! But, she probably would have laughed and said, “Who cares what they do, they not eating real spaghetti anyway “ 😂. She ALWAYS made everything from scratch. Including pasta. If you tried this with fresh pasta, it would probably fall apart ❤😂

  12. I’ve never waited for the water to boil. Always put my pasta in the cold water and then bring it to a boil. So much better and faster! Glad you discovered this too! Thanks for your great channel! Got a lot of great recipes and ideas from it!
