bro you know what's really an ethical issue? Letting those bastards eat every bird and snake egg within their radius and out competing all the local species. These law makers need to throw their animal cruelty claim outta the window. They're game meat at this point.
So, people are really upset that the invasive species humans introduced are being hunted and eaten? They literally devour native plants and prevent local wildlife from eating. They breed out of control, they're literally just reptilian rats and people are complaining that someone decided to do something about it, we truly live in the worst timeline istg.
There’s more to the story. I live in the area. It was also found that some dogs and other animals died from botulism from iguana meat. Not saying that these iguanas would have had that, but if not picked up right away, it could be a possibility. The fact that you’re asking anyone to bring in their iguana meat- you don’t know how long it’s been sitting there and what condition it is in. Overall, not dangerous to eat (at all) but it can be risky if not handled properly.

They do know that those iguanas aren't dead but are in a trance, right? So they literally killed a live reptile.🫤

Everytime i hear "invasive species", my first question is, "How does it taste?"
My wallet wants to know, too.
People complaining about it are the same type of people who call the police after seeing a husky on their neighbor's yard during winter.
