Swiss Breakfast Dream ~

On a recent trip to Switzerland, I visited Lugano in Ticino for the first time. While there, I was fortunate to learn about Swiss foods from local guide Patricia Carminati on the Lugano Food and Wine Tour. Our tour included a visit to Gabbani Gastronomia, where I tried Torta di Pane in their bakery.

This cake made out of leftover bread is a local specialty, where most families in Ticino have their own recipe for the bread. You can read more about Torta di Pane and find a recipe for it here:
