🚨 THE PERFECT 2-WEEK ITALY ITINERARY FOR FIRST-TIMERS 🇮🇹
If you’re planning a trip to Italy and don’t know where to start, this is the exact 14-day Italy itinerary we followed and it was unreal.
[📌 SAVE THIS — you’ll need it while planning]
This route covers Southern Italy + Central Italy — the perfect balance for a first trip.
Here’s the breakdown ⬇️
📍 Days 1–3: Puglia• Land in Bari• Base yourself in Ostuni• Day trips to Alberobello (UNESCO trulli houses) + Matera• Explore Bari Old Town
📍 Days 4–6: Amalfi Coast• Travel via Naples + stop at Pompeii• Stay in Positano• Day trip to Capri• Visit Amalfi Town + Ravello
📍 Days 7–10: Florence + Tuscany• Explore Florence (Duomo, Uffizi, Accademia, Ponte Vecchio)• Full-day Tuscany tour (Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa)• Chianti wine region tour
📍 Days 11–13: Rome + Vatican City• Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Colosseum• Roman Forum & Palatine Hill• Full Vatican Museums + St. Peter’s Basilica visit
Day 14 — Fly out from Rome ✈️
For a 10–14 day Italy trip, stick to 2 regions max. Trying to cover North + Central + South in one go is the biggest mistake people make.
If you have more time, add:• Cinque Terre• Bologna• Naples• Extra Tuscany countryside day
Planning Italy properly makes ALL the difference.
