Once upon a time, there was a magical place, lit by candle light, hiding under giant ponderosa trees. Every winter when snow took hold of McCall, torches would magically appear, their glow leading hungry travelers to a hidden yurt filled with mirth and merriment. For 22 years people would come from all over the world to experience the wonders of the yurt. They’d laugh, they’d cry, they’d eat and drink their fill until they could hardly stand. In a haze they’d put their snow shoes and skis on and follow the torch light back to civilization, planning their next escape to that magical pavilion. Then one winter, the yurt vanished and we were left wondering if those torches would ever appear again?
After a 2 year hiatus the Blue Moon Yurt is back and better than ever! The yurt found a new home at Jug Mountain Ranch where it can stay year round, providing new opportunities to Lisa Whisnant, the owner, operator, and head chef at Blue Moon Outfitters. Get ready for a magical adventure where you will be treated to a beautiful 5 course meal. Don’t be surprised if you leave the yurt with some new friends and new stories to tell.
